Sunday City Walks

Between 7th September and 26th October 2003, guided walks around various parts of Liverpool and Merseyside will depart at 2 p.m. on most Sunday afternoons.
The themes are as follows:

September 7th - LIVERPOOL'S WORLD HERITAGE SITE BID, PART 2. Some more amazing aspects of the growth of a World Class Port. Meet outside the Maritime Museum, Albert Dock , Liverpool L3.

September 28th - ROUND THE WORLD & BACK AGAIN! Celebrate the return of the Clippers, from Liverpool to Liverpool via the world, and learn more about the regeneration of the South Docks.  Meet outside the Albert Dock Tourist Information Centre, Liverpool L3.

October 5th
- A MUNICIPAL WORLD FIRST. See the pleasure grounds and promenades of Birkenhead Park. Meet at Birkenhead Park Station , Wirral.

October 12th - CELEBRATING DIVERSITY. Meet the people who lived in the Park! Meet at the Sunburst Gates entrance to Princes Park , Liverpool L8.

October 19th - SURVIVING THE BLITZ. Liverpool's crucial wartime role, seen through the eyes of local people. (In conjunction with the exhibition at National Museums Liverpool). Meet outside the Museum of Liverpool Life, Pier Head , Liverpool L3.

October 26th - A RICH TAPESTRY OF CULTURES. A walk to coincide with Liverpool's first Irish Festival. Meet on the steps of St Luke's Church , top of Bold Street, Liverpool L1.

The cost of these walks is £3 adults, £2 conc's, payable to the Blue Badge Guide at the start of the walk. Walks last approx. 90 minutes, and will take place regardless of the weather!

Remember that you can HIRE A GUIDE, if you wish, to provide any of these walks at a future date and time to suit the requirements of your own group.
