Sunday City Walks

Between 2nd November and 7th December 2003, guided walks around various parts of Liverpool and Merseyside will depart at 2 p.m. on most Sunday afternoons.
The themes are as follows:

November 2nd - THE WORLD IN ONE CITY. Discover embassies and consulates past and present - and visitors of note. Meet at the Queen Square Information Centre, Liverpool L1.

November 9th - LIVERPOOL: A FIRST CLASS SELECTION. A walk which celebrates some of our Grade 1 Listed Buildings. Meet at the Queen Square Information Centre, Liverpool L1.

November 16th - LIVERPOOL FIRSTS AND OTHER STORIES. Some tales associated with St James's Cemetery. Meet outside the Oratory, Upper Duke Street, near the entrance to the Anglican Cathedral , Liverpool L1.

November 23rd - AN ONGOING SAGA. People, places and TV programmes associated with Liverpool's Georgian quarter. Meet at the 'Smart 4' bus stop in Upper Duke Street outside LIPA , Liverpool L1.

November 30th - A CULTURAL WHO'S WHO OF RODNEY STREET. A walk celebrating some of the street's famous personalities. Meet outside the Wellington Rooms, top of Mount Pleasant , Liverpool L3.

December 7th - THE LIVERPOOL THAT NEVER WAS, PART 2. Some further city centre planning proposals that never came to fruition. Meet at the Queen Square Information Centre, Liverpool L1.

The cost of these walks is £3 adults, £2 conc's, payable to the Blue Badge Guide at the start of the walk. Walks last approx. 90 minutes, and will take place regardless of the weather!

Remember that you can HIRE A GUIDE, if you wish, to provide any of these walks at a future date and time to suit the requirements of your own group.
