Between 13th January and 24th February 2002, guided walks around various parts of Merseyside will depart at 2 p.m. on each Sunday afternoon. The themes are as follows:
January 13th - UP FOR THE CUP. A tour of the outside of 'Anfield', the legend of the bootroom, its personalities and a chance to see famous trophies in the LFC museum (optional £1 extra).
Meet at the Kop Gates, Walton Breck Road, Liverpool, L4.
January 20th - HOPE STREET REVISITED. Recall aspects of this famous street's colourful history and celebrate the efforts being made to give it a new focus.
Meet outside the Philharmonic Hall, Hope Street, Liverpool L1.
January 27th - A SLICE OF LIVERPOOL LIFE. A renewed look at the rich tapestry of Liverpool's people and places, under the guardianship of NMGM at the Museum of Liverpool Life.
Meet at the Pumphouse, Albert Dock, Liverpool L3.
February 3rd - LET US ENTERTAIN YOU. Hear about Merseyside people, pop and personalities of stage, screen and recording studio.
Meet at Queen Square Information Centre, Liverpool L1.
February 10th - CHINATOWN REVISITED. Explore once more some of the hidden corners of Chinatown as its community prepares tp celebrate the Year of the Horse.
Meet at the Chinese Arch, Nelson Street, Liverpool L1.
February 17th - THE SPLENDOUR THAT WAS SUDLEY. Visit the house on the hill, former home of a shipowner and merchant, now in the custody of NMGM.
Meet outside Mossley Hill Church, Rose Lane/Mossley Hill Road, Liverpool L18.
February 24th - MR PRICE'S VILLAGE. A visit to the second oldest industrial village in England, situated in Bromborough, Wirral.
Meet at the Village Hotel, New Chester Road/Pool Lane, Bromborough.
