Sunday City Walks

In January-March 2010, guided walks around various parts of Liverpool will depart at 2 p.m. on most Sunday afternoons.

The themes are as follows:

January 31st 'Sporting Heroes'
A city centre heritage pub walk which revives memories of many of Liverpool's former greats.
Meet outside the Playhouse Theatre,
Williamson Square, L1.

February 7th 'There are places I remember ...'
Are there ANY places left which John & Paul might still remember?
Meet by the 'Case History' sculpture, Hope Street/
Mount Street
, L1.

February 28th 'The Great Dictator?'
A city centre heritage pub walk, which celebrates some famous people.
Meet outside the Lord Nelson Street entrance to
Lime Street Mainline Station, L3.

March 7th 'They made it happen!'
Innovators behind some of Liverpool's pioneering technical maritime achievements.
Meet by the fountain on Thomas Steers Way,
Liverpool ONE.

March 21st 'The Corner Men and the Press'
Another city centre heritage pub walk, which reveals trials and tribulations of the past.
Meet by the Queen Victoria Monument,
Derby Square
, L2.

March 28th 'Royal Liverpool'
Find out more about bad King John, mad King George, King Billy, Silly Willy and more.
Meet at Monument Place, London Road
(outside T J Hughes store), L3.

The cost of these walks is £3.50 per person (£3.00 concessions) payable to the Blue Badge or Green Badge Guide at the start of the walk. Walks last 90-120 minutes, and will take place as advertised unless unforeseen changes dictate changes. They are not dependent on the weather, so appropriate clothing and footwear is recommended

Remember that you can HIRE A GUIDE, if you wish, to provide any of these walks at a future date and time to suit the requirements of your own group.
