Sunday City Walks
In July and August 2008, guided walks around various parts of Liverpool and Merseyside will depart at 2 p.m. on most Sunday afternoons.
The themes are as follows:
6th July 'All Things Maritime'
A celebration of our maritime heritage (including Clippers and Tall Ships) in this special month of the Culture Year. Meet 2pm outside Custom & Excise Office (VAT building), Kings Parade, Queens Dock, L3.
13th July 'It's a Long Lane'
An exploration of the Long Lane area of Fazakerley where William Hartley built a village for his jam workers. Meet 2pm junction Long Lane and Hartley Ave, L9.
20th July 'Meet Miss Eliza Small, erstwhile dressmaker to the Gentry'
Another chance to Meet: an historic character from Liverpool's diverse past. Meet 2pm outside Wellington Rooms, top of Mt Pleasant, L3.
27th July 'The Game is afoot!'
Discover locations in the Georgian quarter, where Sherlock Holmes was filmed. Meet 2pm outside Philharmonic Hall, Hope Street, L1.
3rd August 'Ainsdale-by-the-Sea?'

10th August 'The Prince & the King - Part II'
