Sunday City Walks

In January and February 2007, guided walks around various parts of Liverpool and Merseyside will depart at 2 p.m. on most Sunday afternoons.

The themes are as follows:

Sunday 14th Jan 'Tales of the Baltic'
Visit a Tall Ship, the Swedish Seaman's Church and the Baltic Fleet for a bowl of scouse (optional). Meet 2pm outside the Pumphouse Pub, Albert Dock, Liverpool L3.

Sunday 21st Jan 'Lime Street at Two'
A Helen Forrester Walk. Meet 2pm under the clock at
Lime Street
Station, Liverpool L1.

Sunday 28th Jan 'Memories and Reflections of a great Maritime City'
Hear the words of writers who have been inspired by the Liverpool of their times. Meet 2pm at the Mersey Ferries Ticket Office, Pier Head, Liverpool L3.

Sunday 4th Feb 'From Llangollen to Liverpool'.
The Welsh in Liverpool - People and places. Meet 2pm at the 08 Place, Whitechapel, Liverpool L1.

Sunday 11th Feb 'The Year of the Pig'.
A glimpse into Europe's oldest China Town, past & present as it prepares for its New Year celebrations. Meet 1pm at the Chinese Arch, Nelson Street,
Liverpool L1.


Saturday 17th Feb 'The Year of the Pig'
as above.

Sunday 18th Feb - No Walk

Sunday 25th Feb 'Digging up the past'
Learn about Medieval Liverpool in its original streets. Meet 2pm at the Queen Victoria Monument,
Derby Square
, Liverpool L2.

The cost of these walks is £3.50 per person (£2.50 concessions) payable to the Blue Badge or Green Badge Guide at the start of the walk. Walks last 90-120 minutes, and will take place as advertised unless unforeseen changes dictate changes. They are not dependent on the weather, so appropriate clothing and footwear is recomended.

Remember that you can HIRE A GUIDE, if you wish, to provide any of these walks at a future date and time to suit the requirements of your own group.
