The new body will host a website on which the activities of member organisations will be posted. Member organisations will use the Heritage Forum as a channel for a two-way dialogue with the Culture Company as well as with each other. From the outset, there will be maximum use of internet technology in the Forum's work of sharing information. "It's quick, it's cheap and it's easy to keep information up to date on it", said Mr Pearce, adding that for those (including himself) "on a learning curve" as regards internet usage, paper copies of a newsletter will be provided for circulation among member organisations.
An organising group will make plans for action by the Forum. This might include putting together ideas about the city's "top twenty" historical figures, co-ordinating lists of buildings and monuments which have been or should be preserved and shown off in some way to the public and to tourists and ensuring that literature about heritage and the arts in Liverpool is available to visitors in digestible form.
